Tic-Tac-Toe in Mysterious Tides

This game is called Tic-Tac-Toe in Mysterious Tides, its a remake of the original Tic-Tac-Toe but with the wild and chaotic magic of the Mysterious Tides. It is known that pirates used to play this game when they approached the Bermuda Triangle. The fury or amusement of the God of the Sea will determine rather if that ship was worthy of entering his realm or if it will be sunken for such reckless act.

Have fun with your comrades drinking and rolling dices for fun effects and unleash te chaos of the Mysterious Tides!

The art of the screenshots is a board made in Roll20 using the art that can be downloaded here, but you can play it drawing it or any way you can think of, creativity is power!

How to set up:

• Download the board or draw a 4x4 one
• Download or draw and cut the art for the tokens (X, O, Trap and Locker)
• Determine the trap cells like the screenshot or reverse but always have a space between traps, they can only touch another trap in diagonal.
• Grab a D20 (20 faces dice) or use a digital 3d dice website (3d dice roller on google)
• Download or have near the D20 efect table

Rules:

• Determine who starts! Use the d20 and 1-10 is one player 11-20 is the other one
• If a token is placed in a trap square the player that activated it must roll the d20 and search for the effect, apply the effect and keep playing!
• Tokens placed in a normal cell trigger nothing.
• The locked cells are unusable and they don't count as a token to win if there were any on it before becoming one
• If a trap cell is going to be the cell that makes a player win, first trigger the effect and if nothing impede you from wining, you won!
• The first player to have 3 tokens of the same shape (X, O) in a line (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) wins!
